2. Legal framework and scope
This policy complies with Colombian Statutory Law 1581 of 2012 and Decree 1377 of 2013, compiled in Decree 1074 of 2015. It covers personal data we receive through this website, our corporate email and our dealings with clients, suppliers and partners.
3. Data we collect
We only receive data you provide voluntarily:
- Contact data: name, position, organization and email address.
- Your request: the need and message you send us.
- Aggregated browsing data: anonymous visit statistics (pages viewed, country, device type) through Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify individuals.
We do not request sensitive data or data about minors. Please do not include them in your messages.
The form on this site opens your own email client with the request drafted. The site does not store the information; the message reaches us only if you choose to send it. Sending it constitutes your authorization for the processing described here.
4. Purposes
- Answering information requests, quotes and technical queries.
- Preparing and submitting offers, and managing pre-contractual and contractual relationships.
- Meeting legal, accounting and tax obligations and requests from competent authorities.
- Sending commercial information about our solutions, only with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
We do not sell, rent or transfer your personal data.
5. Your rights
Under article 8 of Law 1581 of 2012, you have the right to:
- Know, update and correct your personal data.
- Request proof of the authorization you granted.
- Be informed about how your data has been used.
- File complaints with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC, Colombia's data protection authority) after first contacting us.
- Revoke your authorization or request deletion of your data, when no legal or contractual duty requires keeping it.
- Access your personal data free of charge.
6. Queries and complaints
Write to contacto@baraxdefense.com with the subject "Personal data", stating your name, ID, the specific request and how you want us to reply.
Queries
Answered within 10 business days of receipt, extendable by up to 5 business days with prior notice.
Complaints
To correct, update or delete data, or for alleged non-compliance. Resolved within 15 business days, extendable by up to 8 business days with prior notice.
Requests are handled by the Management of Inversiones Barajas & Asociados S.A.S.
7. Security, retention and third parties
We apply reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorized access or misuse. Access is restricted to staff who need it for the purposes above.
We keep data as long as needed for those purposes or as required by law. Our email and hosting providers may process data on our behalf outside Colombia, under equivalent confidentiality and security obligations.
8. Validity and changes
This policy is effective from the date above. Any material change will be published on this page before it applies.
